| Swegon continues with partner in the UAE | | After two successful years of establishing the Swegon-brand and technology in the UAE, the representation office of Swegon AB is going to hand over business to its local partner Intercool. | “We established our representation office in Dubai to build up Swegon’s name. The brand and our technology were unknown in this region and we put a lot of effort into this,” says Gunnar Svensson, who represented Swegon in the United Arab Emirates.
The efforts paid off: Swegon is now well-known in the region; the technique is advancing quickly, especially since the focus shifted on to energy-efficiency and greener constructions in the Gulf area.
Despite the financial crisis, the first projects have been realized, such as air handling units for ESAB headquarters and Ramada Hotel and diffusers for Mirdif Shopping Center. “Masdar, the Zero carbon and waste neutral city, is testing our GOLD units and chilled beams, and there are another 5 - 6 big projects where Swegon products are specified,” reports Gunnar Svensson and continues: “Now it is time for our partner Intercool to take over local business and continue our work.”
