| JEFF Electronics winner of The Big Indoor Climate Award 2009 | | JEFF Electronics AB from Gothenburg won the ninth edition of The Big Indoor Climate Award. The prize was handed out by Ulla Hamilton, responsible for the Enviroment and Traffic Division in Stockholm City, at Nordbygg. | JEFF Electronics is awarded for its product CCKYRKA (CCCHURCH) which, according to the jury is an innovative and commercial product which can contribute to a better indoor climate.
"The award is given for a commercial, innovative control system for a rather special but important application. Churches and other old buildings is an inalienable part of Sweden's heritage. Age of the buildings and sensitive equipment involves conflicting demands on the indoor climate. For the building, a low and constant temperature and not too low but stable moisture content, while culture of the building visitors need a higher temperature. . The control system CCKYRKA can self learn how the building works. Thus, the system can, in a very resource-efficient manner, adjust indoor climatic conditions to satisfy both the building and visitors' needs.
CCKYRKA proposal is innovative, commercially and can help improve the indoor climate for both buildings and people as well as reducing energy use. Overall, this means Jeff Electronics AB for a worthy recipient of the 2009 award.
The Big Indoor Climate Award was founded in the year 2001 by Slussen Building Services in cooperation with Swedvac, Swedish Ventilation and Swedish Society of Refrigeration.
The jury consist of its chairman Professor Per Fahlén from Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg and representatives from Swedvac, Swedish Ventilation and Swedish Society of Refrigeration.
The nominees for prize this time were, except from the winner, also IV Produkt AB, Fläkt Woods AB and Swegon AB.
